![]() ![]() There are some issues with Simplify i couldn't solve in the settings. Yes it's possible in simplify, but i'm not really happy with the extrusion in my IDEX-Setup with two Tools. I don't know 100% that Ideamaker can do what is needed, but this is where you can select regions. I know for a fact a few other slicers could do this without cutting the model by creating separate processes to a certain layer height. You used the old way of cutting models before slicers had region or height/layer capabilities. What you needed to do was NOT cut the object, and instead properly use a slicer to specify a process for regions of the model. You didn't want extra walls, yet created actually 2 of them. One of them is each STL is a complete object with walls. Yes, cutting is one way to force a slicer to recognize regions of the model and may be the only way to do that in certain cases, but it ALSO has limitations and problems. You don't want walls between the object, but you literally guaranteed walls the instant you cut the models and stacked them. You did this as a way to allow a slicer to identify each object as a separate object and apply different settings to each object. So both the upper and lower object have faces AKA walls on all sides. As a rule, objects must be a water tight shape- AKA have walls. You cut the object into 2 separate objects.
